Laura Pausini is an Italian singer who was born in Faenza, in the region of Emilia-Romaña, on May 16, 1974. From a young age, she loved singing, and it was discovered in the church choir, where her voice stood out. Her talent was part of her DNA, inherited from her father, a musician who took her to sing in a pianobar in Bologna when she was eight years old. It was a special gift, and from then on, music became her world.At eighteen, she won the San Remo Festival, an event that catapulted her to stardom. The song that brought her fame was *La Solitudine (La soledad)*, dedicated to her ex-boyfriend. That triumph opened her to an international audience, and she began recording songs in several languages: Spanish, Portuguese, French, English, German, and Catalan. Her powerful voice and technique made her stand out quickly in the Italian scene.In the early years of her career, she always traveled accompanied by her father, a condition imposed by her mother, who did not want her to dedicate herself to music. She preferred that she become a pharmacist, a safe life. But Laura did not want that. Although her mother imposed rules, she continued forward. Over time, she became independent, left her parents' house in 1995, and moved to Milan with her boyfriend, Alfredo Cerruti, who was also her manager. The relationship ended in 2002, after an infidelity, and she had to seek psychological help to be able to move forward.After that, she dedicated herself to her music, and her career continued to grow. She released twenty albums, sold over 70 million records, and won many awards, including a Grammy, five Grammy Latinos, and several World Music Awards. She also worked on television programs in several countries, such as *La Voz* or *X Factor*. Her career is a path full of passion, effort, and a voice that has taken her very far.
