The story behind

The song Felicidad, with its duration of 3 minutes and 57 seconds, emerges from Mi respuesta, the fourth album in Italian and third work in Spanish by Laura Pausini. This album, released at a time of greater maturity for the artist, presented a more polished voice and became a benchmark, reaching eighth place on the Spanish charts and selling around 200,000 copies there. Although its commercial success did not match previous works, singles such as Emergencia and En ausencia de ti resonated on the radio in Italy, the United States, and Latin America. A particular detail of this album is the presence of a piece written by Phil Collins, who was inspired after seeing Pausini in an interview. By September 2000, Mi respuesta had already surpassed three million copies sold worldwide. Laura Pausini, recognized as a prominent figure in Italian music, has built a career marked by ballads and love songs, but has also addressed social issues. Her reach is global, having sung in several languages and being the only Italian artist to receive a Grammy Award. Her career includes selling over 45 million records and obtaining numerous international awards. After a compilation album in 2001, which featured the songs Volveré junto a ti and Dos Historias Iguales, she released her English album in 2002. On that release, the songs Surrender and If that's Love reached the top spot on major charts such as Billboard. Pausini's discography totals over 50 million copies sold, with an impressive record of 200 platinum and 3 diamond albums. Among her awards are three World Music Awards (in 1994, 2003, and 2007), an I.F.P.I. Platinum Europe Award, and in 2005, the Latin Grammy in the category Best Female Pop Latin Album for her album Escucha. The following year, in 2006, she won the American Grammy in the category Best Latin Pop Album for the same work, and in February of that same year, she triumphed at Premios Lo Nuestro as Female Artist of the Year.
