This record work, released on September 15, 2000, had a Spanish version, Entre tú y mil mares, which saw the light a few days earlier, on September 11 of that same year. The album, which featured fourteen unreleased tracks, marked a turning point in the artist's career.
The main single that preceded the album's release was Tra te e il mare, a composition by Italian singer Biagio Antonacci, which began playing on the radio starting September 2, 2000. In 2001, the Spanish version, Entre tú y mil mares, received a nomination in the Best Female Pop Vocal Album category at the Latin Grammy Awards.
