The story behind
Ragazze che, according to DoReSol
The song Ragazze che, with its 4:20 duration, is part of Laura, the second studio album by Italian artist Laura Pausini. This record, released by CGD Records on February 26, 1994, achieved worldwide sales of three million copies. The release of this work coincided with Pausini's participation in the 1994 Sanremo Festival, where she debuted in the youth category after having won the previous year. Although she presented the song Strani amori and came in third place, receiving criticism for considering it conservative and adolescent, the album contained other notable tracks. Within Laura, Gente was included, which became the second single.
Some of the album's compositions were adapted into Spanish, expanding its reach. Laura Pausini, recognized as one of the most influential Italian artists, has addressed themes in her career ranging from romantic ballads to social issues such as poverty or war. She has sung in several languages and has been the only Italian to receive a Grammy Award. Her career includes sales exceeding 45 million records and hundreds of international awards, including several World Music Awards in 1994, 2003, and 2007, an I.F.P.I. Platinum Europe Award, and a Latin Grammy in 2005 for the album Escucha. Later, in 2006, she won the American Grammy in the "Best Latin Pop Album" category, also with Escucha.
