The story behind
Ascolta il tuo cuore, according to DoReSol
The melody of Ascolta il tuo cuore was conceived from the ideas of Vito Mastrofrancesco, Alberto Mastrofrancesco, Charles Cohiba, Cheope, and Fabrizio Pausini. This musical piece, which would translate to "Listen to your heart," was part of the album Le cose che vivi, released by Laura Pausini in 1996. It was in February 1997 that this song saw the light of day as the third single from said discographic work. Later, in 2001, a version of this track was also included in The Best of Laura Pausini: E ritorno da te, a compilation by the artist.
The song also had an adaptation into Spanish, titled Escucha a tu corazón, which accompanied the Hispanic edition of the album, Las cosas que vives. The production of Ascolta il tuo cuore was handled by Alfredo Cerruti and Dado Parisini, who contributed to shaping this Pop genre track with an approximate duration of 4 minutes and 40 seconds. The direction of the music video was by Alberto Colombo. Years later, in 2001, a live performance of Ascolta il tuo cuore, captured during a concert at the Mediolanum Forum in Milan, was integrated into the first video album of the Live 2001–2002 World Tour. Later, in 2007, Laura Pausini performed it at the San Siro stadium in Milan, a moment that was also recorded on her live album San Siro 2007.
