The story behind

Incancellabile, according to DoReSol

The song *Inancellabile* was released as the first preview of the album *Le cose che vivi* in 1996. The music was created by Giuseppe Carella, Fabrizio Baldoni, and Gino De Stefani, while the original lyrics are by Cheope. For the Spanish-speaking market, the adaptation into Spanish, titled *Inolvidable*, was done by Badia, and for the Brazilian market, Cláudio Rabello was responsible for the Portuguese version, *Inesquecível*. All three tracks were broadcast on the radio, and music videos were produced for each version. The song, in its Italian version, is dedicated to Alfredo Cerutti jr, who was the artist's partner at the time.

The music video for *Inancellabile*, as well as its Spanish and Portuguese versions, was directed by Jamie De La Peña. It was filmed in late July 1996 in Iceland, specifically in the Vike area, on the rim of a crater of an extinct volcano near Langisjor, in the south of the island. The shots combine terrestrial perspectives with aerial shots taken by helicopter. In 1999, these music videos were included in the VHS collections *Video collection 93-99*. Over the years, *Inancellabile* has appeared in various compilations and live versions, including the album *The Best of Laura Pausini - E ritorno da te* (2001), a renewed version in *20 - The Greatest Hits* (2013), and in recordings of her tours such as *Live 2001-2002 World Tour* (2002), *Live in Paris 05* (2005), *San Siro 2007* (2007), *Laura Live World Tour 09/Laura Live Gira Mundial 09* (2009), and *Fatti sentire ancora/Hazte sentir más* (2018).

The Spanish version, *Inolvidable*, was also included in *Lo mejor de Laura Pausini - Volveré junto a ti* (2001) and in an updated version in *20 - Grandes Exitos* (2013), in addition to appearing on the DVD *Live 2001-2002 World Tour* (2002). In 1996, *Inancellabile* was used as the soundtrack for the Brazilian telenovela *Salsa e Merengue*, while *Inolvidable* accompanied the Colombian series *La otra mitad del sol*. In 2001, Laura Pausini performed *Inesquecível* live with Sandy & Junior in São Paulo, Brazil, during her tour. Two years later, in 2004, she sang *Inesquecível* again in Brazil, this time in a duet solely with Sandy on a television program. The song has been covered by other artists: in 1997, Frankie Negrón released a salsa version of *Inolvidable* as his debut single, and in the same year, Sandy & Junior included their own version of *Inesquecível* on their album *Sonho Azul*. More recently, in March 2024, Mexican artists LP Norteño and El Komander released a version of *Inolvidable*.
