The album had a notable reception, especially the Spanish edition, Las cosas que vives, which sold over 300,000 copies in Spain alone. Worldwide, sales of this project reached over 3 million copies, consolidating Pausini's presence in international markets. To support the release of the Italian version, in March 1997 she embarked on the World Wide Tour 1997, a tour that extended until June of the same year, bringing her music to diverse audiences.

Within the extensive tracklist of fifteen songs, tracks like the album's title track, Le cose che vivi, and others such as Incancellabile and Seamisai, which resonated strongly with the public, stand out. The album also explored other languages, including songs in Portuguese like Tudo o que eu vivo and Inesquecível, demonstrating Pausini's ambition to connect with different audiences.
