The story behind
Inesquecível, according to DoReSol
The song Inesquecível, a Portuguese adaptation of Incancellabile, was initially released in Brazil as the first single from Le Cose Che Vivi by Laura Pausini in 1996. The Portuguese lyrics were written by Claudio Rabello, who adapted the original text by Cheope. The music, in turn, was composed by Giuseppe Carella, Fabrizio Baldoni, and Gino De Stefani. This Brazilian version gained particular resonance, being re-recorded by the duo Sandy & Junior and released as a single in 1997.
The production of Inesquecível is linked to a broader project by Laura Pausini, as the album Le Cose Che Vivi, released in 1996, marked a milestone by being the first by the artist to be published simultaneously in Italian and Spanish. The Spanish version of this song was titled Inolvidable, adapted by Badia, and served as the first single in Spain and Latin America. The music video for Incancellabile, filmed in late July 1996 under the direction of Jaime De La Peña, was shot in different locations: part in Iceland, near the Langisjor area, where aerial and ground scenes were filmed over the caldera of an inactive volcano, and another part in Barcelona, Spain. This visual material was presented in three languages: Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese. Later, in 1999, the music videos for Incancellabile and Inolvidable were included in the VHS Video Collection 93–99. The song Inesquecível also had its own music video, recorded for a television series by the duo Sandy & Junior, as part of an episode from their first season. Throughout her career, Incancellabile and its versions have been included in various compilation and live albums, such as The Best of Laura Pausini: E ritorno da te and tour recordings like Laura Live World Tour 09. In 1996, Incancellabile was featured in the soundtrack of the Brazilian telenovela Salsa y Merengue.
