The story behind
Angeli nel blu, according to DoReSol
Laura Pausini released it in May 1997 as the fourth single from her album Le cose che vivi, the record that marked her breakthrough into the Spanish-speaking market with The Things You Live. The song, written by Cheope and Leonello Meneghetti with music by Eric Buffat and Leonardo Abbate, carries a melodic air that resonates in both versions, though the Spanish one —Ángeles en el cielo— was excluded from physical releases in Spain and Latin America. While the original Italian version aired on radios without a video, the Spanish version remained an album track that many discovered years later. What’s curious is that, despite lacking a music video or single in those markets, it ended up being included in the Live 2001-2002 World Tour, where it was later featured on the 2002 DVD.
