The story behind
The song E ritorno da te, released in September 2001, emerged as the first single from a compilation album by Laura Pausini. The Italian version, which gives the album its title, was nominated for International Song of the Year at the NRJ Music Awards in 2003. Its Spanish counterpart, Volveré junto a ti, received an award from ASCAP in the Pop/Ballad Song category in 2003. The inspiration behind this musical piece dates back to the artist's relationship with her manager, Alfredo Cerruti. In 2013, Pausini would revisit this composition to include it in another of her greatest hits collections.
The music video for E ritorno da te was filmed in Los Angeles and directed by Gabriele Muccino.
