The story behind
La mia risposta, according to DoReSol
The song La mia risposta, released in 1999, emerged from a creative process involving Laura Pausini herself, along with Cheope and Claudio Guidetti in its composition. It was selected as the third single from her fourth album, which bears the same name, La mia risposta. The particularity of this track is that it was also recorded in Spanish, under the title Mi respuesta. This Spanish version was included in the compilation album The Best of Laura Pausini: E ritorno da te, released in 2001, while the original Italian version appeared on the Spanish edition of that same compilation. The production of this record featured the collaboration of Alfredo Cerruti and Dado Parisini, who worked alongside Pausini.
The audiovisual production of La mia risposta also had its moment. The music video, directed by Luca Lucini, premiered during Pausini's 1999 tour and began airing on Italian music channels in March of that same year. This audiovisual material was added to the video album Video Collection 1993–1999, released in 1999. The song resonated live during the 1999 summer festival Festivalbar, at events held in Ascoli Piceno and Lignano Sabbiadoro, which were broadcast by Italia 1. A live performance of La mia risposta was later included in the video album Live 2001–2002 World Tour, recorded at the Mediolanum Forum on December 2, 2001, and released on November 30, 2002. Furthermore, the song was part of a medley during a concert in Paris in March 2005, which was released on DVD as Live in Paris 05. The album La mia risposta, released in 1998, showcased a more mature facet of the artist, with more elaborate vocal arrangements, and reached number 8 in Spain.
