The album *La mia risposta*, released by Laura Pausini, presents a facet of the artist where greater maturity is perceived in her vocal performance. This work, which marked her third album in Spanish, sold around 200,000 copies in Spain, reaching number 8 on the charts during its second week. Although it did not repeat the figures of her previous works, singles like *Emergencia de amor* and *En ausencia de ti* found a place in radio programming in Italy, the United States, and Latin America. A particularity of this album is the inclusion of a song written by Phil Collins, who was inspired after seeing Laura Pausini in an interview.

By September 2000, the album had already surpassed three million units sold worldwide. Laura Pausini is a prominent figure in Italian music, known for her interpretations of ballads and romantic themes, although her repertoire also covers social issues. She has sung in several languages, including Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, English, and French, and is the only Italian artist to have received a Grammy Award. Her career includes selling over 45 million records and hundreds of international recognitions. After a compilation album in 2001, which featured the singles *Volveré junto a ti* and *Dos Historias Iguales*, in 2002 she released her first album in English.

Songs like *Surrender* and *If that's Love* from this latter work reached the top spot on important charts like the Billboard. Throughout her career, Pausini has accumulated over 50 million copies sold, 200 platinum records, and 3 diamond records. Among her awards are three World Music Awards in 1994, 2003, and 2007, an I.F.P.I. Platinum Europe Awards, and in 2005, the Latin Grammy in the category Best Female Latin Pop Album for her album *Escucha*. In 2006, she won the American Grammy as Best Latin Pop Album for the same album, and shortly after, at Premios Lo Nuestro, she was recognized as Female Artist of the Year.
