The story behind
You Are, according to DoReSol
When Laura Pausini set out to record her first album entirely in English, From the Inside, released in 2002, she sought to surround herself with heavyweight collaborators. Among the songwriters who contributed to this project are names like Andreas Carlsson, known for his work with major stars, K. C. Porter, and Patrick Leonard, who had previously collaborated with Madonna. The album, which contained twelve tracks, leaned mostly towards the pop genre, although two of its songs, Love Comes From The Inside and I Do 2 Be, explored different sounds. Curiously, two of the album's tracks had already been presented to the public in Italian and Spanish on the artist's previous works.
The career of Laura Pausini, a prominent figure in Italian music, has been characterized by her versatility, encompassing not only romantic ballads but also songs that address social issues. Her impact transcends borders, having sung in several languages and being recognized as an ambassador of Italian culture. After the success of compilations and singles like Volveré junto a ti and Dos Historias Iguales, Pausini released From the Inside. This album, which included tracks like Surrender and If that's Love, managed to position itself at the top of important charts like Billboard.
Throughout her career, the artist has accumulated an impressive number of accolades, including several American Grammy and Latin Grammy awards, in addition to awards such as the World Music Awards and Premios Lo Nuestro.
