Throughout his career, spanning over three decades, he has sold around 10 million records and received over sixty-five gold records and thirty-one platinum records.From a young age, Cristian immersed himself in the world of entertainment, making his debut at the age of six in the telenovela El derecho de nacer.

His musical career formally began in 1992 with the release of his first album, Agua nueva, which included the hit single «No podrás», catapulting him to fame. Over time, his second album, Un segundo en el tiempo, solidified his popularity, featuring the song «Nunca voy a olvidarte», which earned him a Latin Grammy nomination. In 1994, his third album, El camino del alma, allowed him to reach the top of the charts with the song «Mañana», composed by Juan Gabriel.As his career progressed, Cristian Castro continued to explore his art and diversify his music. In 1995, he participated in the compilation album Boleros: por amor y desamor, where he recorded "Vuélveme a querer", which reached number 2 on the Hot Latin Tracks.
