The album title, *Azul*, became a hit, topping the Latin charts.
Cristian Castro, whose full name is Cristian Sainz Valdés Castro, was born in Mexico City in 1974. He comes from a family with a strong connection to the entertainment world; he is the son of actors Verónica Castro and Manuel "El Loco" Valdés. Furthermore, he is the nephew of José Alberto "El Güero" Castro, a well-known telenovela producer, and comedians Germán Valdés, famous as Tin Tán, and Ramón Valdés, remembered for his role as Don Ramón in *El Chavo del Ocho*. Despite his beginnings in acting, Cristian Castro found his true calling in singing, achieving international recognition.
