The story behind

The song *Dos amantes* by Cristian Castro, with a duration of 4 minutes and 58 seconds, is from the album *Azul*, released in June 2001. This discographic work marked the Mexican singer's seventh studio production and once again featured the collaboration of composer and producer Kike Santander, who had previously worked with him on the previous album, *Mi Vida Sin Tu Amor*, in 1999. The album *Azul* received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Latin Pop Album at the 2002 ceremony, and its main track, *Azul*, reached the top positions on Latin music charts. Cristian Castro, whose full name is Cristian Sainz Valdés Castro, was born in Mexico City in 1974. His artistic career is marked by a strong family heritage, being the son of renowned actors Verónica Castro and Manuel "El Loco" Valdés. Furthermore, he is the nephew of figures such as telenovela producer José Alberto "El Güero" Castro, comedian Germán Valdés, known as Tin Tán, and Ramón Valdés, who played Don Ramón in *El Chavo del Ocho*. Despite his beginnings in acting, Cristian Castro found his true calling in singing, establishing himself internationally. Throughout his career, he has managed to place 29 songs at the top of the *Top Latin Songs* chart, being recognized as the third most outstanding Spanish-speaking artist in Billboard's history, with sales exceeding 12 million records and multiple gold and platinum certifications. The production of *Azul* was handled by Bernardo Ossa and Kike Flavio Santander.
