Cristian Castro, whose full name is Cristian Sainz Valdés Castro, was born in Mexico City on December 8, 1974. He is the son of renowned actors Verónica Castro and Manuel "El Loco" Valdés. His family environment was marked by art, being the nephew of José Alberto "El Güero" Castro, a telenovela producer for Televisa, and comedian Germán Valdés, known as Tin Tán, as well as Ramón Valdés, who played Don Ramón in *El Chavo del Ocho*. Although he began his path in acting, it was singing that led him to international recognition. Throughout his career, 29 of his songs have reached the top of the *Top Latin Songs*, positioning him as the third most prominent Spanish-speaking singer in *Billboard*'s history. He has sold approximately 12 million records worldwide and has received over 65 gold records and 31 platinum records.
