When Cristian Castro was in the midst of recording his fourth studio album, the musical landscape of 1995 was defined by the effervescence of Latin pop. This album, titled El Deseo de Oír Tu Voz, was released in January 1996 under the Fonovisa Records label, marking the artist’s final work with this record company. The production was helmed by Daniel Freiberg, who managed to capture a sonic palette ranging from pop rock to ballads, including bolero and Latin rock, all recorded at Old House Studio in New York City. The album, which features twelve tracks, spans just over 43 minutes, offering a journey through various facets of the artist.
