This album was released by Fonovisa Records on January 23, 1996, and represented the singer's last production with this label. The recording featured production by Daniel Freiberg.
Born as Cristian Sainz Valdés Castro on December 8, 1974, in Mexico City, Cristian Castro comes from a family with a strong artistic tradition. He is the son of renowned actors Verónica Castro and Manuel "El Loco" Valdés. His family heritage extends to figures such as his uncle José Alberto "El Güero" Castro, a prominent telenovela producer for Televisa, and on his father's side, to the celebrated comedian Germán Valdés, known as Tin Tán, and to Ramón Valdés, remembered for his role as Don Ramón in El Chavo del Ocho. Growing up in an artistic environment, Cristian explored acting from a young age before dedicating himself to his main vocation, singing, a discipline that would catapult him to international fame. Throughout his career, he has had 29 of his songs reach the top of the Top Latin Songs charts, being recognized as the third most prominent Spanish-speaking artist in Billboard's history, with sales exceeding 12 million records and over 65 gold and 31 platinum records.
