From its beginnings, Juanes has woven a unique sound that fuses Latin pop with Spanish rock, creating a musical proposal that resonates in Latin America and beyond. His career began at 15 in Medellín, exploring metal with the band Ekhymosis. With them, he recorded several albums, consolidating his presence in Colombia's music scene. In 1996, he had a foray into a duo with the song "Ya nada es," which gave him greater visibility.

The decision to embark on a solo path came in 2000 with the release of Fíjate bien. Although this first work did not have the expected sales, it did capture the attention of specialized critics. It was in 2002, with Un día normal, when his music achieved considerable notoriety in Latin America. This album, which included songs like "A Dios le pido" and the duet "Fotografía" with Nelly Furtado, became a sales success in countries like Mexico, Spain, and among the Hispanic audience in the United States. His work during this period earned him important accolades, such as MTV Latino awards.

The momentum continued in 2004 with Mi sangre, an album that expanded his reach globally. Songs like "La camisa negra," which reached number one in several countries, and "Volverte a ver" became an essential part of his repertoire. At the end of 2007, he presented La vida… es un ratico, another album that resonated strongly in Latin America, Spain, and the United States. Later, in 2010, he released P.A.R.C.E., a work he himself described as more intimate. In 2012, he explored an acoustic facet with Juanes MTV Unplugged, which included new songs like "La Señal." His discography expanded in 2014 with Loco de amor and in 2017 with Mis planes son amarte.
