The story behind
Rosario Tijeras, according to DoReSol
The song *Rosario Tijeras* has a story behind it that goes beyond the music. Although the title evokes the protagonist of a Colombian novel, the piece itself was created by Juanes and Jorge Franco, who is the author of the literary work. The version we hear on the album *Mi Sangre* was recorded with Juanes as recording engineer, and the mixing was handled by Dave Heuer and Thom Russo. The production featured the collaboration of Aníbal Kerpel and Gustavo Santaolalla, adding layers to the sonority of this track.
The album *Mi Sangre*, originally released on September 28, 2004, became an international success. In 2005, a special edition, *Tour Edition*, was released, which included, in addition to the 12 songs from the album, live versions of tracks like *A Dios le Pido* and *La Camisa Negra*. Unreleased tracks were also added, such as *La Paga*, featuring Taboo from The Black Eyed Peas, and *Lo Que Importa*, a song originally intended for another project. The duration of *Rosario Tijeras* is 3 minutes and 27 seconds, a time that concentrates the energy and character of the piece.
