Maná

In the Latin rock landscape, Maná has managed to build a distinctive sound that fuses pop rock with influences from rhythms like calypso, reggae, and ska. The current lineup, with Fher Olvera on vocals and guitar, Alex González on drums, Sergio Vallín on guitar, and Juan Calleros on bass, has been key to the evolution of their proposal. Since their beginnings, the band has demonstrated a remarkable ability to connect with global audiences, achieving commercial success that has led them to sell millions of records worldwide.

The path of Maná was not without transformations. After an initial period under the name Sombrero Verde, the band adopted its definitive name in 1986. Their debut album, titled Maná, saw the light in 1987. However, it was with Falta Amor, released in 1989, that they began to gain ground in Latin America, although the real boost came some time later, when the song Rayando el Sol became a resounding success, marking a turning point and opening doors in the music market.
