The story behind
De pies a cabeza, according to DoReSol
The song De pies a cabeza, with its catchy rhythm and a duration of 4:39, is one of those pieces that grab you from the first chord. It is part of ¿Dónde jugarán los niños?, the third studio album by Maná, which was released in 1992. This album marked a particular moment for the band, as it was the only one in which they appeared as a quintet, adding Iván González on keyboards and César López, known as "Vampiro", on guitar. Both musicians left the lineup in 1994.
¿Dónde jugarán los niños? was released simultaneously in over 40 countries and, for many, represents one of Maná's most outstanding works, including other hits like Oye mi amor and Vivir sin aire. The global sales of this album exceeded 13 million copies. The band, made up of Fernando Olvera on rhythm guitar and vocals, Juan Calleros on bass, Alejandro González on drums and vocals, and Sergio Vallín on lead guitar, has explored pop rock and Latin rock, achieving wide distribution in places like Australia, Spain, the United States, Western Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
