¿Dónde jugarán los niños?

This album, ¿Dónde jugarán los niños?, marked a turning point for Maná. Released in 1992, it arrived two years after Falta amor and was presented as their third studio work. What's interesting is that it was released simultaneously in over 40 countries, which already anticipated its reach. For many, this album represents the peak of their sound, housing songs that became fundamental in their repertoire. The recording had the particularity of being the only period of Maná as a quintet, adding Iván González on keyboards and César López, known as "Vampiro", on guitar, who came from Azul Violeta and would later join Jaguares. Both musicians left the band in 1994.

About the album

¿Dónde jugarán los niños?, according to DoReSol

Within ¿Dónde jugarán los niños?, there are songs that resonate with particular strength. Oye mi amor, for example, became an anthem, and alongside it, songs like Cachito, Vivir sin aire, Te lloré un río, De pies a cabeza, and Cómo te deseo, are the ones that define the essence of this work. The impact was massive, managing to sell around 13 million copies globally and obtaining diamond certifications from the Mexican Association of Producers of Phonograms and Videograms.

The structure of the original tracklist featured 12 songs, opening with De pies a cabeza and closing with Me vale. The album was released in 1992, a key year for Spanish rock, and was edited at a time when the band was exploring sounds that would strongly resonate with the public.
