The story behind
Buscándola, according to DoReSol
Buscándola sounds like that moment when the guitar strums with a cadence that grabs you even before the voice comes in. The song kicks off with a rhythmic interplay between the Guitar and the Drums, where the beats stretch without ever losing the pulse, as if each note were searching for something not yet fully clear. There’s something in that tension between melody and percussion that keeps the ear hooked from the first seconds, as if the song knew what comes next is worth the wait.
They recorded it in 2012, just when Maná had already spent decades proving that Latin rock could sound fresh even in markets where the genre wasn’t king. The track doesn’t aim for epic or grandiloquent; instead, it drifts between the intimate and the collective, with an air that recalls those road trips where the music accompanies without asking for anything in return. The Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards the band has racked up aren’t a fluke: there’s a consistency in their sound rarely broken, and Buscándola is a fine example of that. By the time Juan Calleros’ bass joins in to reinforce the rhythm, it’s clear they’re not just playing for the sake of it—they’re searching for something only they seem to understand.
