Biografia
Apesar das tensões internas que levaram à saída de Wright em 1981 e, posteriormente, de Waters em 1985, Gilmour e Mason deram continuidade ao legado de Pink Floyd. Com o retorno de Wright, gravaram álbuns como A Momentary Lapse of Reason (1987) e The Division Bell (1994), ambos apoiados por turnês de grande escala. A reunião de Gilmour, Mason e Wright ao lado de Waters para uma apresentação no evento Live 8 em 2005 foi um momento significativo, especialmente após a morte de Barrett em 2006 e de Wright em 2008. O último álbum de estúdio da banda, The Endless River (2014), foi construído a partir de material inédito das sessões de The Division Bell, demonstrando a persistência de sua busca sonora. Em 2022, a banda lançou a canção "Hey, Hey, Rise Up!" como uma expressão artística diante de eventos globais.
