One of the most striking aspects of the creation of Rock Doido was its experimental approach. A sequence shot short film was recorded, using a smartphone in the streets of the Condor neighborhood, in Belém, Pará. This technique sought to capture the spontaneity and raw energy of Amazonian culture, reinforcing the project's commitment to a peripheral and popular aesthetic. Musically, the album is a melting pot of influences that reflect the richness of northern Brazil. Tecnobrega, originating from Pará and characterized by its danceable electronic rhythms, serves as the base, but it is enriched with elements of brega-funk, carimbó, and Latin rhythms, in addition to featuring the participation of artists such as Lauana Prado, Viviane Batidão, and Gang do Eletro.
The critical reception of Rock Doido highlighted its originality and its role in valuing Paráense culture. The album was recognized for its audiovisual power and cultural impact, positioning the Amazon as an important focus of contemporary Brazilian music production. The song Foguinho, in particular, received significant mentions, being nominated for Hit of the Year and winning in the Brega of the Year category at the Prêmio Multishow 2025, where the album also competed for Album of the Year and Cover of the Year. This work consolidated Gaby Amarantos's career after her previous album, TecnoShow (2022), delving deeper into her roots and exploring new sonic and visual avenues.
