The story behind
Essa Noite Eu Vou Pro Rock, according to DoReSol
Tonight, Essa Noite Eu Vou Pro Rock is not just a song: it's a cry that ignites in the streets of the North of Brazil. With just 74 seconds of duration, the track bursts forth like a flash of pure energy, blending the fast-paced rhythm of aparelhagem parties with the infectious pulse of tecnobrega and funk. There's no room for doubt: here, rock doesn't sound like a distorted guitar in a garage, but like speakers booming at the corner of a street party, where music is born from improvisation and collective joy.
The song was born as part of Rock Doido, the fourth album by Gaby Amarantos, released in late August 2025. The project was co-signed with the collective Altar Sonoro, and instead of being recorded as a traditional album, it was conceived as a live set where the songs intertwine like pieces of a single ritual. The recording even included a short film shot in a single take, capturing that fleeting essence that exists only when the audience and musicians merge into one space. There's no time for studio corrections: the mistake, the sweat, and the emotion are part of the magic.
