Crina Negra

The story behind

Gaby Amarantos wrote Crina Negra as part of the album Rock Doido, released in August 2025. The song feels like a rua party, full of rhythm and energy. In it, one can hear the influence of rhythms such as carimbó, funk and tecnobrega, mixed with sounds from the paraense culture. The lyrics talk about a woman who moves with strength, as if she were dancing in the middle of a celebration. The song is short, barely a minute and a half, but in that time one feels all the vibration of a musical tradition that lives in the streets. The album's production was worked on in collaboration with the collective Altar Sonoro, and Crina Negra fits into that style of connected sounds, as if it were a piece of a puzzle that completes itself when you listen to it.
