The story behind

Gaby Amarantos released BBBBBBB in August 2025, an album that was born from her interest in connecting with the cultural roots of Pará. The idea came from the festas de aparelhagem, those street music events in the north of the country. Instead of a conventional album, they created a set of short and connected songs, as if they were living those parties live. The work was done together with the collective Altar Sonoro, and mixes rhythms like tecnobrega, funk, carimbó and Latin music. The song BBBBBBB lasts one and a half minutes, and has over 39 thousand listeners on Last.fm.
