Arctic Monkeys is a British indie rock band, formed in Sheffield, United Kingdom, in 2002. It is made up of lead guitarist and vocalist Alex Turner, guitarist Jamie Cook, drummer Matt Helders and bassist Nick O'Malley. The band's original bassist, Andy Nicholson, left the project in 2006 shortly after the release of the band's debut album.
