Let It Be

The Beatles started recording something called Get Back in 1969. The idea was to make an album as if it were a concert, like the first one they did. They gathered at Twickenham studios, but after some time, George left for a while. He came back with Billy Preston and everything ended at the Apple studios. At that time they played many songs, some of which later appeared on other albums, others stayed in the closet.

About the album

Let It Be, according to DoReSol

The project was finished in January 1970. Although it was called Get Back, the album that was released was Let It Be. The song used as a single in the United Kingdom was Let It Be, and in the United States it was The Long and Winding Road. In the final recording, George, Paul and Ringo reunited to finish I Me Mine. Later, the material was given to Phil Spector, who modified it quite a bit. He added things, changed rhythms, put strings and choirs. The album was released in May 1970, along with a documentary. It was the last album of The Beatles before they split up.
