Fun facts

Beatles recorded "Two of Us" on January 31, 1969. The song was written by Paul McCartney, although it was attributed to the Lennon–McCartney partnership. It was one of the last songs they recorded together before they split up.

The story behind

The Beatles recorded Two of Us in 1969, during the recording of the album Let It Be. The song began as an idea by Paul McCartney, who originally called it "On our way home". It was a heavier song about his relationship with Linda, but then changed direction. McCartney and Lennon re-recorded it in January, switching from electric guitar to acoustic, and it became something softer, with a touch of folk rock. The final version was recorded at Apple Studios, and was included in the film and the album. Today, Paul McCartney plays it in concerts, such as his Moscow tour or in Europe. The voices of Lennon and McCartney blend in the song, giving a sense of two people who complement each other.
