Bruce Springsteen

Bruce Springsteen, known to many as "the Boss", has built a musical career spanning more than six decades, exploring the fibers of rock and folk with a deep connection to everyday experiences and the landscapes of his native New Jersey. His sound, often associated with *heartland rock*, is characterized by lyrics that tell stories with poetic sensitivity and a rootedness in American traditions. Much of his musical identity has been forged in collaboration with the E Street Band, who have not only contributed a distinctive sound to his recordings but are also recognized for their energy and professionalism in performances that often exceed three hours. His discography began in 1973 with the albums Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J. and The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle.

However, it was with Born to Run in 1975 that he achieved global popularity. This was followed by works such as Darkness on the Edge of Town (1978) and The River (1980), the latter marking his first album to reach the top of the Billboard 200 chart. After an acoustic venture with Nebraska (1982), he reunited with the E Street Band to record Born in the U.S.A. (1984), an album that became his most successful work and one of the best-selling of all time. For a period, Springsteen relied on session musicians for albums like Tunnel of Love (1987), Human Touch (1992), and Lucky Town (1992), before reuniting the E Street Band for Greatest Hits (1995).Springsteen’s dedication to his craft has manifested in a constant and varied output.
