The story behind

When Bruce Springsteen went to record Born in the U.S.A., he had a lot of ideas stored up. In fact, some of the songs that ended up on that album came from the demos he had made for his previous work, Nebraska, in 1982. The recording sessions for Born in the U.S.A. were intense, spanning two years, from January 1982 to March 1984, and took place in New York City. During that time, they managed to record between 70 and 90 tracks. Some of these gems ended up as B-sides, others appeared on compilations, and a good handful have yet to see the light of day. The sound of Born in the U.S.A. leaned more towards pop than his previous works, with a very characteristic 80s production, where synthesizers and a very pronounced snare drum roll played a fundamental role.

Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen, known as The Boss, was born in Long Branch, New Jersey, in 1949. His music, a rock with deep roots, often intertwines with poetic lyrics that reflect the traditional sentiments of the United States, and especially of his home state, a very industrial area. Much of his career, spanning four decades, has been marked by an alternation between pure rock and more folk-oriented works, without forgetting the so-called "heartland rock". His connection with the E Street Band has been key to his sound and the energy of his performances, which often exceed three hours. Throughout his career, he has received accolades such as twenty Grammy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and an Academy Award.
