Cover Me

This album, Cover Me, is a compilation of songs written by Bruce Springsteen but performed by various musicians. The idea behind this collection is to showcase the breadth of his work, including both well-known versions and lesser-known renditions of his compositions. It was originally released on vinyl in 1986, and later had a CD reissue in 1989, which included two additional songs performed by Greg Kihn. In this CD version, one of the tracks was changed: The Pointer Sisters' version of "Fire" replaced the one recorded by Robert Gordon. The recording of the songs spans an extensive period, from 1975 to 1986, and the predominant genre is rock.
