Al Stewart

Al Stewart, from Glasgow, was born in 1945. His father, a RAF pilot, died before him in a plane crash. He was raised by his mother, Joan, in Bournemouth, a town near Dorset. Later he went to the United States, where he began to record and produce his music, mostly in Los Angeles, from the 70s to the 80s.

He became famous for "Year of the Cat", a single that came out in 1976. He also had good acceptance with "Time Passages", which came later. Both were produced by Alan Parsons. Although he didn't record many albums in recent years, he continues to perform a lot live in the United States and Europe. His concerts are sold through his fan club.
