Slowly

Ghost is a type of Jamaica, born in 1974. He entered the music world with a style that blends reggae, dancehall and ragga. His first step was in 1993, when he was singing alongside Clifton "Specialist" Dillon, a man who made ragga songs. Sometimes he teamed up with DJ Culture as a rapper. In 1996 he was in the group Monster Shack Crew. Later he collaborated with Tony Curtis on a song called "Wine", which was released in 1997. The album Slowly was released in 1992. It has nine songs, all with a very sincere touch. There are tracks like "Animal", "Prodigios" or "L'amour avec toi", which make you think. Some of these songs have a weight that isn't seen in the lyrics, but is felt in every note. The album was recorded with labels like VP and Music Ambassador. It wasn't a big noise album, but at the time it was part of a music circuit that moved between Kingston and other places. The music of Slowly isn't just rhythm, it's a way of speaking about what hurts and what feels. There are songs that stay in your head, like "De tripas, corazón" or "Quién eres tú". The sound is clean, but that doesn't make it less intense. It's an album that you don't listen to once, but that you listen to again to understand better what it means.
