The story behind
This song sounds like a whisper that suddenly turns into a shout without warning. The voice of Luis Eduardo Aute intertwines with an arrangement that seems to breathe between pauses, as if each note had to earn its place. The piano and strings move in layers that don’t always align, creating a tension that bursts in the chorus, where everything becomes more intimate and at the same time more urgent. That’s the magic: it’s not just a melody, it’s a dialogue where the lyrics and sound challenge each other.
They recorded it in two studios in Madrid over two months in 1992, with Suso Saiz leading the production. They weren’t aiming for a polished album, but something that sounded alive, as if the walls of Estudios Trak and La Nave held the echo of what was being created. The result was an album released on vinyl and CD, with two bonus tracks not in the original version: La locura que todo lo cura and Jaques, a tribute to the Belgian singer-songwriter Jacques Brel. The track lasts just over five minutes, but in that time it encompasses everything: rage, tenderness, and that feeling that sometimes, guts speak louder than reason.
