Born in Manila on September 13, 1943, Aute moved to Spain in his childhood, where he began shaping his artistic career. His sound, characterized by a fusion of styles and profound lyrics, positioned him as a prominent singer-songwriter in the Hispanic music scene. His album Rito, released in 1973, was the first in his trilogy Canciones de amor y muerte, followed by Albanta in 1978, which initiated the trilogy Canciones de amor y vida.
