Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble

The sound of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble is an explosion of energy and emotion that captures the essence of blues rock. With his electric guitar, Stevie Ray Vaughan became a reference in the genre, standing out for his exceptional technique and his ability to convey deep feelings through every note. From his beginnings in Dallas, where he started playing at the age of seven, Vaughan was influenced by greats like Jimi Hendrix and Albert King, which shaped his unique style and way of interpreting music.

A key moment in his career was the formation of Double Trouble in 1978, alongside Chris Layton and Tommy Shannon. This trio quickly established itself in the music scene of Austin, Texas, gaining popularity in the local club circuit. Their performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1982 was a turning point, as it caught the attention of David Bowie, who invited them to participate in his album Let's Dance in 1983. This connection with the music industry led Epic Records to take interest in them, resulting in the release of their debut album, Texas Flood, which received critical acclaim and catapulted Vaughan to fame.
