Albert Collins, known as "The Master of the Telecaster", stood out in the world of electric blues thanks to his unmistakable guitar style and powerful performance. His sound is characterized by the use of altered tunings and a capo, which allowed him to create unique and expressive riffs. From the beginning, the Fender Telecaster became his inseparable companion, helping him forge a sound identity that sets him apart within the genre.Originally from Leona, Texas, Collins began playing the guitar at an early age, influenced by his cousin Lightnin' Hopkins. Throughout his life, he absorbed the diverse currents of blues emerging in Texas, Mississippi, and Chicago, enriching his style.

At eighteen, he formed his first band, the Rhythm Rockers, where he refined his technique and began building his reputation in the local scene. His first major step in recording came in 1958 with the single "Freeze", which introduced him to the recording world.In the mid-1960s, Collins recorded "Frosty", one of his most iconic compositions, in Beaumont, Texas. This track became a blues classic and marked his career. His debut album, The Cool Sound of Albert Collins, released in 1965, consisted of instrumentals that had already been published but showcased his skill and distinctive style. From there, his career expanded, taking him to perform on major stages and collaborate with other great artists.
