More about La Unión
Biography
In 1985, they released El maldito viento, an album with a darker approach. Songs such as Entre Flores Raras or La Máquina del Tiempo were some of the most outstanding. A year later, in 1987, they launched 4X4, where they mixed more modern rhythms, such as swing, and started to use an electroacoustic combination. That album was the last they produced with Nacho Cano and Rafa Abitbol, and also was the one that took them on their first tour in the United States.
In 1988, Vivir al este del Edén was an important turn. The group took charge of producing the album, and became a trio after Íñigo Zabala left. They took advantage of their projection in America to make songs that reflected that experience, such as Maracaibo or Más y más, which became the song for the Vuelta Ciclista a España in 1989. They also participated in the Teletón 1988 in Chile, singing Hombre lobo en París.
