The story behind

Luis Alberto Spinetta wrote "Siempre en la pared" for his album Téster de violencia, released in 1988. The song is recorded with a group of musicians that includes Machi, Mono, Guillermo and Jota. The lyrics talk about a wall that does not listen, as if it were a wall between two people who cannot understand each other. The metaphor is rare in his work, but appears again in a 1999 video, where Spinetta sings in front of a wall until it breaks. The song is part of an album that seeks to understand violence not as something horrible, but as part of life. At the 1988 concert, Spinetta mentioned that the song belonged to a group of songs called "evaporations".
