Mais Uma Canção

The story behind

Los Hermanos recorded Mais uma canção in 2001, a year after their first album. The song was part of Bloco Do Eu Sozinho, an album that was born out of pressure to create another hit. The band had sold over 350 thousand copies with their first work, and now their label, Abril Music, insisted on another hit. To avoid tension, they decided to make the music in the mountains of Rio, away from the city. There, the bassist Patrick Laplan left to work on another project, it is said, because he was not satisfied with the sound the band was taking. In his place, entered Alexandre Kassin, the producer and collaborator of the group. Upon finishing the album, they presented it to Abril Music, but the label rejected it.
