A Flor

The story behind

Los Hermanos recorded A flor in 2001, as part of their second album, Bloco Do Eu Sozinho. The song came out after the group had to make a quick album due to pressure from their label. They had already sold over 350 thousand copies with their first disc. To relax, they decided to make the music in the mountains of Rio, away from the city. During the process, the bassist, Patrick Laplan, left the group because, it is said, he wasn't happy with the sound the band was taking on. The producer, Alexandre Kassin, stayed to finish the work. Upon completion, the label told them they didn't want the album.
