The story behind

Juana Molina recorded Indignan a un zorzal in her house in General Pacheco, around 2020. The song is part of the album Doga, which came out in 2025. Molina had not released a solo album in eight years, and this time she collaborated with a producer for the first time since 1996. The idea came from a series of improvised concerts in 2019, where she recorded over sixty hours of sound with Odín Schwartz, using analog synthesizers. The song feels like an extension of those sessions, free and fearless. It is short, five minutes and twenty-one seconds, but full of details. People listen to it a lot on Last.fm, more than five thousand times. It is a piece that moves between the personal and the abstract, as if the thrush were protesting something that cannot be named.
