Silvio Rodríguez released this album in 1978, when he had already been performing live for some time and was beginning to gain recognition. He recorded it in Spain, in Madrid, at the Sonoland Studios. There, accompanied only by his guitar, he made an album that suited him very well. The songs are old, some from 1968, others from 1970. He never performed them live, but he recorded them with a naturalness that is noticeable.The sound is simple and direct. There is not much more to add. Just the guitar, the voice and the lyrics. Songs like “Ojalá” or “Canción del elegido” appear on this album, and they became part of his repertoire. Each song is a story, a feeling, a moment. There are no embellishments, no complications. Just what he needed to say.
