The story behind
No Te Va Gustar recorded Te quiero más in two separate recording sessions. The first took place in March 2002 in Santiago de Chile, where Mariano Pavéz handled the recording and mixing of nearly all the material. The exception was Clara, which was completed a month later in La Zapada, Montevideo, under the direction of Álvaro Reyes. The album was finalized at Clio, also in Santiago, where Joaquín García and Pavéz mastered it. Before its public release, the band rehearsed in two venues: La Zapada and La salida de Abril, both in Montevideo. The official debut occurred on October 12 of that year at the Teatro de Verano, marking the start of a tour that took them across all of Uruguay.
The song Te quiero más has a duration of two minutes and twelve seconds and is one of the fourteen tracks on Este fuerte viento que sopla. This album was No Te Va Gustar's second release and showcased a more experimental side of the band, blending genres such as ska, rock, reggae, and murga. Most of the songs were written by Emiliano Brancciari, though two were co-written by Mateo Moreno. The band's lineup at the time included Brancciari on vocals and guitar, Guzmán Silveira on bass, Diego Bartaburu on drums, Gonzalo Castex on percussion, Martín Gil on trumpet, Denis Ramos on trombone, Mauricio Ortiz on tenor saxophone, Pablo Coniberti on guitar, and Francisco Nasser on keyboards.
