The story behind

La única voz, according to DoReSol

No Te Va Gustar sings about that bond that isn't chosen but is felt to the core: the relationship with the mother. "La única voz" is not a song about romantic love or heartbreak, but about the love that goes unnamed yet is breathed in every moment. The track is built from the voice of Emiliano Brancciari, who here doesn't just sing but lets the microphone amplify an emotion many keep silent. The lyrics need no embellishment: they go straight to the listener's heart, as if the author had written each word with eyes closed, merely listening to what his chest dictated. The album Este fuerte viento que sopla —the band's second full-length release— was recorded in Santiago de Chile in March 2002, though one of its songs, Clara, took shape in Montevideo a month later.

The process wasn't easy: they rehearsed in two different spaces, La Zapada and La salida de Abril, and the result was officially presented on October 12 of that same year at the Teatro de Verano. The mixing was handled by Mariano Pavéz, while Joaquín García and he himself fine-tuned the sound at Clio. At 5:21 in length, "La única voz" is one of the tracks that best reflects the band's ongoing search for rhythms: blending ska, rock, and even hints of murga, the song flows effortlessly, as if the music itself had been born from a sigh.
